Flexible Rockfall Barrier

Flexible barriers of variable geometry consist of a complex system of steel cables, ring nets, structural elements, steel posts, energy-dissipation devices, wire meshes, and ground anchors to catch fallen rocks and limit debris-fragment flow. A flexible barrier dissipates energy through deformation, enabling the system to withstand impacts from rock and debris. Heavy steel wire meshes can be anchored on a rock slope to mask and confine unstable rock features.
