Mechanically bonded nonwovens are rugged geotextiles that can resist heavy installation and construction loads.  Because of their high ductility, they resist puncture and abrasion.  Mechanically bonded nonwovens can be used in civil construction, for example, in hydraulic engineering, groundwater protection, and sanitary landfills.
